As we heard a month ago rumors were that Hirai would be the new Sony CEO. SOny denied this at the time. Now it is true.
No details were giving as to why this changed but i am assuming it has to do with the passion Hirai brings to the Sony Brand. It will be very interesting to see what he does at the Helm of the entire company.
As we all know Sony has been struggling for sometime in almost every department expect Sony Picture Studios. Sony's departments never worked together and well that just didn't work. Anyway here is what Howard Stringer said about the new CEO:
"I believe his tough-mindedness and leadership skills will be of great benefit to the company and its customers in the months and years ahead. I look forward to helping Kaz in every way I can so that succession leads inevitably to success."
What do you guys think of this?? DO you think Hirai can bring back the old powerful Sony??
