She's one of the most successful authors in the history of literature, and J.K. Rowling can breathe easy now that a lawsuit against her has been dropped.
The late Adrian Jacobs' estate had claimed that Rowling stole ideas for her "Harry Potter" books from Jacobs' "Willy the Wizard" novels, and demanded hundreds of millions of dollars in damages.
But now the lawsuit has been dropped due to the fact that the claimant has failed to come up with security cash ordered by the judge.
A Jacobs spokesman declared, "The case is dead for now. Can it be revived? Yes, it could be taken up in another country, another jurisdiction."
